Tiger Missing in Action

Since Tiger has had knee surgery after winning the U.S. Open, and has been forced to sit out the rest of the year, the golf world has not been the same. Hence the Open Championship (British Open) just isn't as interesting without Tiger. Although I am golf fan, and like playing as well as watching, I have to admit that if Tiger is not playing, I rarely give the tournaments my full attention. The bottom line is that Tiger has given golf a major shot in the arm in terms of viewers and sponsorship, the ratings are always high when Tiger is playing. Tiger has been an ambassador of the sport, with more and more people (including people of color) taking up the game of golf.
