WTF is a "thug". Is a thug a drug dealer? Is a thug a thug based on appearance? Is a "roughneck" a "thug". Are we talking brothas who work with their hands and get dirty for a living? Sounds like to me(just my opinion)the term "thug" is being used by short in stature negroes who have ZERO game and can't get a woman. "...she only with him cause he a thug". LOL
Somebody define "THUG"[/color][/i][/b]
|
I thought someone would've taken care of this lil dilemma by now BISHMAN! I think TLC did an adequate job of defining "THUG."
No I don't want no SCRUB
A SCRUB IS A FELLA CAN'T GET NO LOVE FROM ME
Hangin out the passenger side
of his best friend's ride
trying to holla at me
Oh wait a minute they didn't want no SCRUB! :-[ My bad! But hell I suppose a scrub is a sub for a thug so its all same same!

It's funny, because I think that our culture celebrates the "thugs." All girls hear today is how the need a soulja, a thug, etc. No one has made a song called "I Need a Bank Manager." (Or somthing like that.) I speak from experience, too. I used to think that I loved me a thug. But one day I realized that we had no future. Literally. No savings, no IRA, no 401k.... my thug didn't even have a resume. But I was young and all I saw and heard was how we love and want thugs. I thought it was cute. Then I grew up. Not all of us do.

Many people see the guys that sag their pants to their knees as thugs. You could have a college degree or be a straight A student in high school but no one will take the time to find out because of how you are dressed. If you don’t wanted to be called a thug maybe you shouldn’t dress like one.

Oh SNAP...I can't rep you for another day! Although I wouldn't really listen to that song...But a song shouldn't be how we teach our young people to look for a mate. Sadly it's what they do.

If a "thug" is what you say "no savings, no IRA, no 401k etc" then IMO I don't think as a whole Blackfolks celebrate that. Young folks may have bought into it but, grownfolks haven't. I think the term is thrown around far too much. Hell, I call the popo who whooped on Rodney King a bunch of thugs.
Besides, don't sistas want brothas to be a little rough around the edges....LOL pull that hair, slap dat ass ;D TGIF

thugs are the ones coming up to black women. Yes i get approached by them all the time. More then the "professiona" or "preppy" types. Sorry but these professional blk men are spoiled and think women should chase them.
All black women do not want thugs. Thats like me saying all black men are losers.
its just not true. and Phonex i can see you have some issues with black women

Why shouldn't they chase them? If you see a man who seems responsible and educated, it would seem to me that you should chase them rather than sit around and complain all the time that "Niggas ain't worth shit" and "I don't need a man".
I have issues with our dysfunctional Black culture.

why are you assuming that i do that. I don't complain about black men. I was making comments about YOU (i made specific comments, some were sarcastic and some were to show you that you are wrong)
I know there are good and bad. I see great guys all the time. But im not going to chase a man. Its not happening. I believe a man finds his wife. I want to know that a guy really likes me and if someone comes up to me it shows courage. I believe due to different behaviors of men and women, knowing that women are more emotional and loyal. That its better that a man comes up to the woman.
Why should i get with a guy who does not take the initiative???

Men get shot down so often they stop trying after a while. BLACK WOMEN ARE NOT APPROACHABLE BY AND LARGE. It's time for the sistas to step up just a bit. You (women in general) complain and complain and do nothing but complain some more but yet you don't have the courage to say hello to that nice brother standing in front of you.
I thought you ladies were liberated? I am not saying you drop to your knees and unzip a guys's pants but you ladies could be at least say hi, what's your name? Damn.

aren't you complaining.
AGAIN GENERALIZING. that is probably why you have a hard time with women and society. You rep what you sew, When you stereotype, prejudge, label people, it will be done to you.
so how do you approach black women??? Please don't lie.
and why can't you approach the woman.
