People see things that involve businesses as being insured anyway, and they're right! Thats why there is little sympathy for banks, etc, that get knocked off!

Your appliance caper didn't have too much sympathy for you friend either, once he perceived him as having more.

Entirely different circumstances. Furniture/cash, not the same.

Ohhhhhhh! I get it. It's perfectly fine to steal cash, but stealing furniture is downright unacceptable.

By now I think you know I don't like to dominate my own posts. I prefer to let others brang it and chip in from time to time. If you insist on nailing me down on this issue I'll give you my honest opinion on this matter.

No, Tuck. I think I really like the fakeness. Honesty is overrated. If everyone revealed how they truly felt about issues, we may actually have a discussion!

Different yet the same in that they were the property of someone else and were stolen. Not that I wouldn't pick up some cash but, I'm not going to bullshit like it's different than taking a guys TV off his porch.

Theft has never been my M O. I've done many things that are beneath legal limits, but theft is not of them. I would never go thru someones belongings in a situation as described in the topic. I would never go onto someone's property and take nothing w'out permission. I would never steal from a pauper's cup. I would never take from a blind man, or a drug addict! I would never shoplift from anywhere. I would never steal an article from a fellow scribe.

But now, put me in the scenario you described and YEAH, if I could get every dime of it I would because that is TAKING from a corporation and not an individual, imo. The guard thats standing there needs to be getting his, or getting out the way so I can get mine!

OK Robin Hood.....So, that truck was carrying the money from the collection plate from your church.....still no problem? TUCKER, are you saying because it is the "corporation" it's not stealing or that you will steal from the "corporation"?

You know I could easily not allow this hole to be dug, but I rather enjoy tight situations like this. Jesus would never allow himself to be trapped by his own words, but me, not being Jesus, well here goes. I wouldn't rob the truck carrying the church donations, but put it in your scenario and yeah I'd probably help myself and consider it "MY" blessing!, NO PROBLEMO! As to the corp thang, there is a difference, in my world, between stealing and taking. The fianaces of a corp are usually insured, not that it matters.

BISHOP is right by calling you Robin Hood. You've basically justified the theft from a corporation b/c they're so rich it will barely impact them. I'm sure you can see that this is a slipperly slope... but are you sure you want to jump rope on it?

All that being said.... given the right situation you are not much different than the person stealing the stuff from the neighbor of yours who was moving. I can see finding unidentified money but, knowing where it came from....I can't justify keeping it because it came from General Electric and then calling it a "blessing". Now, I'm not trying to be Saint BISHOP. If a FENDER truck full of bass guitars emptied on I-71 my ass would have a pick-up truck fulll of them. LOL Always been my opinion that given the right situation people will do almost anything...even things they say the wouldn't.

Yeah, I know, but you know I, like you, like playing "Devil's Advocate" occasionally.

As to the hilited portion, I didn't mean to justify the action. I was just stating it. Certainly I'd be wrong in any case cause there aint no room for corporate "pay back." Thats like blowin up abortion clinics if I didn't believe in abortions, I know thats extreme, but the point is extreme. If you consider ROBIN HOOD a thief, and he was, then "If you believed," you'd have to consider Yashuah a rabble rouser and instigator, and he was also! {Another extreme, but thats okay, it takes that for some!}
