Food for thought!

Now that McCain has named his running mate, the campaigning can begin in earnest. I thought of one aspect of this whole whose going to be Vice President thing. Consider this, when Obama didn't choose Clinton as his VP, which was no surprise to many of us, he sort of opened the door for McCain to scoop up all the loose votes of undecided women both Black and white. There will probably many who will jump party lines in support of McCain's female choice.
Now I submit for your consideration. In the average everyday world, I can think of few things that a barbarian has surrendered to a Black if said barbarian thought there was any use left in said object. After 8 yrs of GOPs, theres no telling how much covert damage has been started, finished and done under the Bush administrations. It would appear that noone REALLY wants to be in charge of America at the moment because most certainly whoever takes charge NOW, will be charged with whatever the outcome of the previous eight years of the Bush administration by history. Obama runs a campaign of change true enough, but is anyone naive enough to think that the powers that be are going to let him or anyone else get in office and make any significant changes? Four years, should he survive them, is hardly enough time to make any major marks on the damage that this country suffers from at present.
Obama listed many things that needed doing in a glorious speech the other night. He covered most of the issues that concern us all as citizens and he made some lofty promises, at least of effort to effect this change. But as papa used to say, "HES GOT A TOUGH ROW TO HOE!"
Mo Power to you Mr Obama!
