WDIA just played THE TEMPTATION'S "BEAUTYS ONLY SKIN DEEP." This is a tune that showcases David Ruffin's vocal range to the maximum. Now I've never once said I thought David Ruffin could sang, but I've said on many occasions DAVID RUFFIN could work the hell outa tune. Ruffin, before his tragic death was on his way to becoming one of the premiere single artists in the United States and the world, joining Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson, as was every original member of THE TEMPTATIONS.

THE TEMPTATIONS AN AMERICAN ICON. If you were living during the period these young men were living and performing and had the opportunity to see them perform live, or on tape then you know what I'm talking about here. If you didn't, then you'll never know what you missed cause noones been able to even come close since them. THE TEMPTATIONS A TRUE TRAGEDY!

I've heard many stories and seen several movies about his demise, but I wonder what REALLY happened to RUFFIN and the original members of the TEMPTATIONS. They've always been very special to me I guess because growing up and performing in various vocal groups all over Memphis, I was always EDDIE KENDRICKS 1ST TENOR with DAVID RUFFINS CHARISMA AND MOVES!

hey but in the last temtation movie that actor really did look like "Eddie Kendricks" I compared him to one of my dad's records.Dang I forgot his real name hold on....ok, terron brooks.

He did sort of didn't he? But I thought Leon stole that movie with his David Ruffin impression. I'd almost forgot about Terron Brooks though. I haven't seen him in much of anything of late either come to think of it.
