I read an article and want to pose the same question
|
|
How would you feel if all the illegal immigrants were to go back to their countries and why?

lol the first thought to pop in my head is from a comedian that said
he is against sending people (he was talking about Mexicans) back to their country because if it works, we're next! lmao

Stayin within the framework of the spirit I think the question was posed and in re to that population:
I think I'd be okay with it. In TN hispanics are not a major part of the visible population as in other parts of the country, Texas and California in particular. In general though, I think there would be many job opportunities opened and employers would have to pay a better salary overall. I think the used car market, housing industry, shady credit card and shady lending institutions, construction companies, along with the check cashing places, liquor stores and other businesses that have been operating under the radar in their efforts to pirate illegals, would be devastated!
And overall that stuff listed above, I think it would be great! What this would show to me is that there is some faction of government that is actually trying to do the job they get paid to do with little or no compromise.
Black people could also go back to the elite status of being the #1 minority group and reaping the attention and the rewards afforded the group that has that distinction, tee hee!
Also too, illegal aliens in this country, are just that, "ILLEGAL!"

Well, our economy would collapse. So as an investor, I don't think I'd be very happy about it.

The economy collapsing fits right up there with the “Illegalls do jobs Americans don’t want” argument. LOL

Unless you're confused about what "collapsing" means, then you shouldn't be typing any LOL's. This isn't some panic scenario derived from ignorance and pessimism. This is based on a study UC-Berkeley put out ~5 years ago, which I have quoted numerous times on this forum during illegal immigration discussions.
The bottom line (findings from the study) is that illegal immigrants actually have a large POSITIVE net effect on the US economy. California and Texas were the only two states to have slightly negative ones.
The reasonable conclusion/speculation was that removing illegal immigrants would drive up the prices of most goods and services without a corresponding increase in our wages. In an already fragile (and currently declining) economy, it doesn't take a team of Economics PhD's to figure out what would happen. Although, they have discussed it and came to the same conclusion sista and myself have.

I think it would be a backdraw to our society. Why??? We are the 'land of the free' right??? So why make people 'go back to where they came from' when it will mess up their lively hood??? Alot of these 'illegal aliens' would surely purish in their homelands. Not only that, who in the hell is gonna mow lawns, open gas stations in the hood, and clean after nasty ass people in hotel rooms??? Blacks sure aren't becasue the next thing you know we'll be crying our civil rights are being violated. So all this talk about 'aliens' is bs becuase HELLO this is the same country that calls it's own citizens refugees....

sista, sparky, cc5k, mizlady3, surely you are not going to overlook the obvious, if the reference is to the #1 illegal group, hispanics, as I think it is. What is the obvious you say, THEY'RE ILLEGAL. WET BACKS, RIVER RATS, BROWN BLACKS, illegal mexicans, illegal anything they choose to go by, they're still in this country in violation of laws that all legals, supposedly must live by. Of course all legals donot live by these laws, so when you add the illegals to the mix, you got a whole lot of other Mother fu**ers who're not living by the laws also. That study apparently didn't point that out, or did it.
DAMN FOLKS THEY'RE ILLEGAL! Let one of em hit your car, or entice your daughter to a transient motel room, or any other extreme. Is that what it takes to deport them. That is a crock about all of em working so hard here and the economy will suffer if you remove their illegal earnings from the pot. Sure they contribute, but hell they bring a whole lot of baggage with them to contribute to. What they kick into the economy of this country as illegals is like pissing in the ocean. You mean to tell me they filing income taxes now and getting refunds and incentive checks? If the amt of the refund is based on the number of dependents few legals would be getting a dime!!!!! LMAO

So TUCKER, spell it out and black and white for us. It sounds like you think you'd be happy if one day every illegal packed up and left this country.
And do you take it a step further by saying law enforcement should be actively trying to round up illegals for deportation?
