Gumbo, I think there are 3 layouts for you to choose from. If you look in the bottom left of the page, you should see a drop down box that lists "Approx+", "City Morning", and "firaun". Try out each one and see which one you like the most. I believe that which ever one you select will be the default when you log back in next time (although I also believe that the default is firaun when you're not logged in).

Hiiiiiiii.......(batting eyelashes in an attempt to be charming).......my name is, well my name isnt important. but im a 29 yr old black woman from south louisiana. im married with 3 kids ages 10,5 and 2.my son age 10 is khaleel ashaad, my middle daughter age 5 is sedan ashiana and my baby girl is nasir yasmeen.my son is like a genius, the boy has never gotten anything other than a 4.0(all As)since he began getting grades. hes had the honor of delivering the "ihave a dream" speech at his schools black history program. and let me say that my boy handled his business and brought grown women to tears.my sedan shows signs of being just as intelligent as her brother although she is completely different. see he is more like dexter from "dexters laboratory" while she is similiar to deedee...lol....and my nasir well, i havent figured her out yet.

okay enough about THEM:laugh: ....forgive my blustering, but it is in a mothers nature.

now where was i? oh yeah.....this is my 2nd marriage and i couldnt be happier. hes shown me that "happilyeverafter" isnt just for fairytales

personality wise im a hippie chic. i believe in live and let live, peace and love maan and all that other good stuff.. i loove vintage clothing with a 70s twist. im so sure that my inner being is a 70s flower child...lol....and id give anything to go back in time and experience woodstock.

im also a big fan of reggae.....the pussycat dolls....tupac and w/o a doubt scarface. i also happen to like guns n roses and aerosmith(guess thats cuz of my "german daddy"...LOL

)(those of u who dont get it, dont worry about it, its an inside joke)

what else? um..im currently writing a couple of books, one of which is erotica. and when i finish school i plan to self publish them......see, writing is my PASSION and publishing has been my goal since 5th grade. poetry is my PASSION PASSION and i just loove to write it.

im not very political which is why i dont get into the politics area much. im not aggressive, im peaceful and easy going unless u push me..lol. i like to read and learn and meditate.oh and i loove meeting new people. i seem to have knack for picking up other languages easily(guess thats cuz of my french speaking mamaLOL again

on a more personal level, ive been through some hard to deal with things in my life. i wont say ive had it hard or that ive lived hard because that would be an insult to those who really have-but i have had to deal with some very deep and painful issues. some of which still haunt me at times. BUT i made it through each and every situation because of intelligence and STRENGTH, which is why i CANT STAND weakness. i suppose thats why i get into the debates i get into. things have happened that i dont understand and certainly dont agree with, but if i had to constantly harp on those things then id never heal and never make progress, which is why im always screaming about "moving on"...

what else? um...me looooves the herb. lol. but soon ill have to give it up cuz there aint no room for potheads in nursing school....and i know this. so this is my last "high" summer......

i think thats about it......and id just like to add that its nice to meet yall.

Well I have finally gotten around to do this thread so here goes.

I am 30 yr, married with a 20 month old little girl. If I don't make sense in a post it's usually because she is distracting me somehow. I try to only get on when she is asleep, which means the middle of the day or at night when i can't think straight anyways

. I grew up in Petaluma, CA. Yes the same place where Polly Klass was kidnapped and killed, where Ryona Wrider went to school and Sharon Stone shot a movie.

We, the family, have moved to AZ and have been here for a little over a year because hubby didn't want to raise her in Cali which was fine with me. I am a SAHM until she is in school so for the next 2 1/2 yrs I will have no friends

. My main contact with the outside world is thru the computer since I am not comfortable talking to people in real life. Weird but true. I am not a normal person in my opinion but than again who is?

(its interesting that u say that..my husband is the same way. he cant stand talking to people(besides me and the kids). it makes him very very uncomfortable, just like u said.."wierd,but true")

i work from home parttime as a phone sex operator(pso). its a well paid, highly interesting and at times totally disgusting/disturbing job. but i get to work from the comfort of my home when i want to. ive been with the same company for 2 yrs and dont ever plan to quit. i might even go in business for myself when i finish school. but only on a parttime basis cuz after a while one can burn out. some of the calls i get yall are so strange.if anyone is interested i may make a thread about some of my calls. give yall some insight into what lurks in the hearts of men....mainly white men cuz thats all that ever calls.

yeah doug, i am anonymous alot cuz i dont want anyone here in my lil one redlight town to find out what i do. not cuz of shame...but because i go to pta meetings at my kids schools,shucks i was parent of the year once, and id hate for my kids to be teased or whatever. when it boils down to it alot of folks here just wouldnt understand and it would be a major scandal

as these peole have nuthin better to do with thier time but gossip and judge.everyone knows everyone and id hate for my male cousins and elderly aunts and uncles, not to mention my sperm donor(father) to look down on me.bottom line is if folks around here knew i think it would just get too wierd and id become some kind of slutty celebrity-like figure...lol..which is cool in the bedroom. but not so cool when u have 3 small kids......

Better be careful... You said one son is 10, right? When I was 11, I found my mom's stash and tried to experiment. A 4.0 genius-student wouldn't do this though, right? ...I was one too.:angd:
