Default Coed Dorms

How about this new trend in living quarters on the campuses of many institutions of higher education. A family scrimps and saves to send the representative away to school. During the process of enrollment and selecting living quarters, the family rep somehow winds up in a coed dorm. This could happen either by choice or by coercement, either way, the end result is the same. There seems to be a national trend toward this type of living environment and it is often encouraged by the colleges themselves.

What do you think of this?

My bad, I allowed for a degree of reading between the lines. COED in the sense that boys/girls, men/women, live together in the same domicile rather than the same building. Sorry.

I think it's a bad idea... I'm trying to think of the advantages and nothing comes to mind.

It would have sucked to have a bunch of women in our halls/rooms/bathrooms/whatever in college. Women are for sex at that age; other than that, they should stay out of our way.

(No offense, ladies.)
