Aside from the financial obligations, I dont see any excuse for not owning at least one suit, when a basic one could be bought new at Target for about $80 and you could buy a used one and have it altered for about $50 from the thrift shop. No excuses.

Heyyyyyy, now thats how you shoot! "Jeans were reserved for their, "backwards" farmhand cousins in North Carolina. " Is this a re to cc5ks country ass? LMAO But for real though, you make an excellent point. Denim used to mean work or play clothes to Black people. When you got dressed UP, you didn't put on no jeans, you put on a suit, and I aint talkin bout no back in the 40s, 50s and 60s. There was a time when you couldn't melt and pour a Black man into a cowboy hat and boots. For that matter to be seen in a pick up truck was considered country as hell and your rep would be permanently injured. Now Cadillac makes the Escalade, nothing but a fancy pick up truck. Like my nephew who drives a Ford says, what a mother fu""er gon "PICK UP" for commercial purposes in an Escalade. You bet not scratch that bed!
Good post though man, good post!
