It's hard to understand not owning a suit. If you look back to images in the 20's, 30's and 40's in cities in the North, it seems that the only clothes young men wore were suits. Jeans were reserved for their, "backwards" farmhand cousins in North Carolina. Aside from the financial obligations, I dont see any excuse for not owning at least one suit, when a basic one could be bought new at Target for about $80 and you could buy a used one and have it altered for about $50 from the thrift shop. No excuses.
