This one is tricky. I told my son about an incident that happened while I was in service. It was supposed to be one of those don't let it happen to you kind of things. He was preparing to go to Iraq. Do you know he went and did the same thing because he said he wanted to have my experiences. So it comes down to knowing what your kids can and cannot handle and how they'll interpret any info you make them privvy to.
