When I read this article, it made me think of two movies.

The first movie was "World Trade Center" where two black 9/11 heroes, (Jason Thomas and Bruce Reynolds) were portrayed by white actors.

The second movie was “A Mighty Heart” where Angelina Jolie (who is white) portrays Daniel Pearl’s widow, Mariane, who is black (technically, her ethnicity is black/cuban/dutch). Does it matter to any of y'all that Angelina had to be made up to look like a black woman for this role? Or that white actors portrayed the black 9/11 heroes? I know it's not the first time Hollywood has done this and it won't be the last but I'm just curious since there was quite a bit of controversy about both.


I have to admit they DO resemble each other (Mariane is pictured on the left).
