If she was being attacked, yes. But she wasn't. The article says the video even showed that she was not attacked or in any struggle with him.

If I saw a burglar attacking someone, I would help. If I saw him filling up a sack with cash from the register while everyone was backed up with their hands in the air, I would probably stay back too (and call the cops).
